Vex Robotics Competition Dallas, Texas

The Global Vex Robotics competition kicks off in Dallas, Texas.

Sierra Leone is full of talented kids waiting to be discovered. We continue to highlight the case of Murray, who, eight months ago, had no access to digital learning materials. Today, he’s participating in World Largest Robotics Competition at the United States of America thanks to the strong foundational basics he gained through the Easy STEM server pilot at Tasso village, with the work we do with UNICEF Sierra Leone

With his hard work and dedication, he made it onto the qualifying team from Sierra Leone.

In Tasso, talent is abundant; in Sierra Leone, it’s everywhere. Our kids need help, support, and nurturing for their talents.

It’s possible. Simple things like access to quality education and digital learning materials in even the most remote areas can produce rocket scientists with non-rocket science approaches. This isn’t rocket science; it’s the ABCs of development.

That’s what we do, and we will keep doing it by working with kids in last-mile areas, schools, and communities to brighten their futures and bridge the digital divide for learners across Africa
